CT Silas Bronson Library Show Silas Bronson Library has provided the perfect setting for Karen to explore a theme she conceived many years ago. Birdhouse Auction to Benefit Habitat for Humanity of Northwest CT Over 100 birdhouses by local artists, including Karen Rossi, will be up for auction to benefit Habitat Humanity of Northwest Connecticut. The Bruce Museum's Annual Outdoor Crafts Festival The museum holds two festivals each year in Greenwich with the purpose of fostering an appreciation of the arts. The juried show includes wood, ceramics, jewelry, fiber, metal, leather, and glass artisans. Talk Karen Rossi and fellow
artist, Beth Pite, are currently showing their Judaic-themed work at the Charter Oak Cultural Center
in Hartford, CT. The show is the center's fifth annual "Celebration of
Jewish Arts and Culture." Karen and Beth will talk about their work and
meet fans at an upcoming "Brown Bag Lunch" at Charter Oak. This event is
free and will take place on November 20, 2009 at Noon. Coffee and cookies
will be provided, but guests are asked to bring a bag lunch. Ellington Scenic Home Tour
Karen's artwork will have a part in CHR's Ellington Scenic House Tour. Winding Trails, Farmington, CT September 13, 2009, 8 AM - 10 AM Karen will attend the 3rd Annual Women's Triathlon on Sunday, September 13. Her exclusively-designed pin will be given to all the participants. Participants will swim a 1/2 mile loop in the Winding Trails lake, cycle 12 miles through the quiet roads of Farmington and Avon and then enjoy a flat 5K run through the wide dirt trails in Winding Trails. Fundraiser Karen Rossi has many of her original metal sculptures on display and for sale at the Burlington Library. 35% of the proceeds will benefit the library's Children's Room, as the money will go toward a sculpture fund. The hope is to create a colorful and creative space using Karen Rossi sculptures. As part of the exhibit, Karen's alphabet mobile is hanging above the children's circulation desk. Several wall sculptures, as well as her Noah print, are on display in the Community Room. And, her Pilgrim Imports ornaments are also being displayed in the library's showcases. CT State University for about a month, starting in mid-December.

Arthur Guagliumi. Both Arthur and his wife Susan are past professors
of Karen, who graduated from Southern CT State University in 1982. All
were delighted to reconnect at the Guilford Fair this past
summer. Karen is honored to be back at her alma mater and
witness the growth of the University. It is a fitting place to be as her
first year of refocusing her career to showcase her original metalwork
comes to a close.

Karen will take part in an art show at the-renovated Staples High School in Westport. There will be over 150 booths, free parking, and a raffe to benefit needy organizations specific to Westport. Artist Residency and Exhibition at Ethel Walker School Karen has been invited to be the Resident Artist at Ethel Walker. Along with workshops dedicated to the students at the school, she will have an extensive exhibition at the art gallery. The exhibition dates are Sept 9 through Oct 25. The gallery is located in the Bell Library. Hours of the gallery are 9-5 Mon thru Fri and 1-5 on Sundays. Art Adventure Inner Circle - Mosaics Classes Inner Circle and Karen Rossi will team up to present an exploration of mosaics. Two follow-up classes in July will allow students to create their own mosaic masterpieces.
